Who we are:
Let's Picnic is a mom & pop operation based just a stone-throw away from Chicago in Brookfield, Illinois. Our staff consists of a Texas ex-pat, a Peoria-born baseball fanatic, a 3rd grade Webkins collector and 2 feline supervisors.
Living in the Chicago area means many months staring out windows, trying to imagine a green landscape. When we get it, there's no going back inside unless it's against our own will. Area settings like Ravinia, Millennium Park, and the Osaka Tea Gardens provide many amazing venues for Al fresco family dining and we don't miss a chance if it can be helped. All of our meals are eaten together as a family, and in the warm months most of those are outdoors on a picnic blanket.
What we are not:
We are not just a website. We attend and retail at regional festivals and events. We love and support our local mom & pop market scene. We love what we do and the area we do it in. We try very hard to find products that are made in the USA and not just rehash the same ol' same ol' from China. We don't just sell new goods but spend lots of time hunting out great vintage finds that deserve a new life outdoors with your friends and family in addition to handmade goods to sell.Let's Picnic is the picnic shop!

Picnic Time
Originally from Italy, Picnic Time's creators, Mario Tagliati and Gustavo Cosaro, have long been aficionados of good food, good wine, and good company. For over twenty-six years, they have made it their business to inspire others to get out and enjoy life.
As former owners of a successful gourmet and wine store that was famous for its holiday gift baskets, Mario and Gustavo sought to create a unique line of gifts that could be sold year-round. They introduced a series of traditional high-quality picnic baskets in 1982 and before long, other retailers were clamoring to purchase wholesale baskets for their own stores. Picnic Time was born!
In 1987, they created the world's first insulated picnic backpack and have continued to pioneer the most innovative picnic products ever since. Picnic Time now offers over 400 exciting products in many categories such as entertaining, executive gifts, wine accessories, barbecue, beach, and outdoor furniture.
